This is a 2 pound bag of Nicoletti Espresso Old School Roast “1972” whole beans with Fresh Roasted Date stamp right on the bag.
More of a 50/50 Arabica & Robusta mixed roast. It’s also about 10 degrees darker then our original blend (Silver Bag)
Its truly a medium espresso roast that is very dry and not any oil glaze to it…

I have been brewing espresso at home for over 20 years. I have tried probably 50 different medium to dark roasts, and Old School 1972 is the one I keep coming back to. I live on the west coast where there are a ton of choices in the coffee world. I like a straight shot of espresso with nothing added. I prefer a roast on the darker side and can produce balancing crema. I have found that the best results come from a blend, fresh roast date, and leans to the darker side. Nicoletti's Old School ticks all those boxes, and has been very consistent everytime.
If you like chocolaty flavors and big cremas this is the roast for you.
